How To Avoid Periodontal Disease

According to the Centers for Disease Control, half of adult Americans have some form of periodontal disease, otherwise known as gum disease. It occurs when bacteria build up on the teeth and become an infection that affects the gums. Other health issues can increase the risk of gum disease, such as pregnancy, diabetes and obesity. Gum disease, however, is easily avoided through good oral hygiene and regular dental checkups.

Implants: A Life-Changing Dental Treatment

Do you avoid smiling because of a missing tooth? Are you ready to fix a damaged or decayed tooth? Do your dentures have you saying, “Enough is enough.” Countless numbers of patients have turned to dental implants as a solution to missing teeth or damaged teeth that are beyond repair. Dental implants are a permanent solution offering the strongest support for replacement teeth. The best part is they function and look just like your natural teeth.

Why do we do more?

We can’t believe the holidays are right around the corner. While we love all the gifts we give and receive during this season, there is one gift that we prize throughout the year. It’s the gift of education. Even though we have our dental degrees from prestigious schools, and even though Dr. Kapoor is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, we strive to attend continuing education trainings because we value the results we get from it. This is important for our patients to know. Read more to find out why.
