Tooth colored fillings are an ideal choice to restore damaged teeth because they blend in with the rest of your teeth for an unnoticeable restoration. Unlike silver fillings, tooth colored ones provide a natural look and feel. They are made of a mix of plastic resins and silica fillers, a lasting composite material that also help strengthen your teeth. The benefits of tooth colored fillings also include:

  • Less of the healthy tooth needs to be removed
  • Fracture resistant
  • Allows you to chew freely

A filling typically takes only one visit. The damaged tooth is prepared by cleaning any decay from the cavity. The dentist then fills the cavity with the tooth colored composite material and then is hardened with a light.
